I Can No Longer Attend, How Do I List My Ticket on ‘Ticket Resale’?
Any supporter who has a season ticket but can’t attend a match can list it as a match ticket on ‘Ticket Resale’. This is only available for General Admission tickets and is not available for Premium Experiences.
Tickets on ‘Ticket Resale’ will be available for other supporters to purchase (at Adult pricing only) once the match has sold out and the club turn on resale for that match. If you list a season ticket and it sells, you get that portion of your season ticket paid back to you to use as future credit.
Please note any attempt to re-sell a ticket through other means is against the law and will result in a lengthy stadium ban as well as legal action.
How do I list my season ticket for a specific match?
Before proceeding, you will need to sign in to your SAFC online ticketing account here, and then go your initials at the top right and then to 'Tickets' and then ‘Ticket Resale’.
You will then see a list of tickets that are available for resale. Ticket the box next to 'I want to sell my ticket'. Matches will only become available when they are sold-out and approximately two weeks prior to the match date.
Please note you may only list your own seat, so each supporter must log in to their own accounts to list their tickets.
If you do not see the link, this means that you are not signed in.
If the prompt does not appear when you click, then you do not have any tickets eligible for the resale.
Click OK to confirm the listing once you have read and agreed to the terms:
Tickets on the ‘Ticket Resale’ will be available for sale once the match has sold out. Any credit due will be processed within 5 working days after the game has taken place.
If you change your mind, you can de-list the ticket so long as the ticket has not already sold.
Only if the seat sells, you will receive a credit for the amount paid for the ticket.
Any credit due will be processed within 5 working days after the game has taken place. If your ticket has sold you will also receive an email notification informing you that your ticket has been sold and has now been removed from your season ticket – please do not attempt to use your season ticket for the match as it will not permit entry for that match.
Supporters are advised that they will NOT be notified if the ticket does not sell. Ticket Resale will cease 3 hours prior to kick-off of the specific match. If you have not received confirmation that your ticket has been resold prior to this time your season ticket will still be valid for the match.
Tickets listed on the ‘Ticket Resale’ will be sold at Adult match ticket price only. Disabled supporters seated with a personal assistant should note both tickets must be listed together for sale.
Credit Example:
If you paid £690 for your season ticket, when you list your seat on the ‘Ticket Resale’ and it sells, you get 1/19th of your season ticket. In this example £690 / 19 = credit of £36.32.
Once you have successfully sold your season ticket for a match via ‘Ticket Resale’ and the club have processed any credit due, you can review the amount of credit you have when you login to your online account. Please note, making your seat available for resale does not guarantee that it will be sold. You will receive an email confirmation if and when your seat does get sold.
Can I cancel my resale request?
Yes, as long as your seat has not yet been sold, you can withdraw it from being available for resale. Just log in to your account, select the ticket that you have made available for resale and click withdraw it from resale - this is only available while your seat has not been sold. If your seat is sold you cannot claim it back.
What can I buy with my credit?
The club will allow supporters to use any credit gained through ‘Ticket Resale’ as a payment method for the following, (supporters can use credit as a split payment method e.g. a season ticket renewal is £500, £100 of credit can be used with the balance payable via credit / debit card):
- Future season ticket renewal (please note that SAFC cannot offer a Payment Plan for the balance payable.)
- Gift vouchers
- Other matches at the Stadium of Light put on by SAFC – SAFC Women’s, U21s fixtures (does not include First team away or cup matches).
- Other events hosted at the Stadium of Light – Talk Ins, Watch Parties, etc.
When events go on sale, any event that credit is available to use as a method of payment will show Credit as a payment option when checking out. Credit is not available to use for retail merchandise.
