We recognise that those with a disability may need assistance to fully enjoy the experience at the Stadium of Light and offer a variety of reasonable adjustments, based upon individual needs.
Disabled customers wishing to book Concert tickets should visit safc.com/concerts
Proof of eligibility is required – please see the bottom of this article.
Tickets are sold at the relevant price for the area of the Stadium.
Where the need for a personal assistant has been identified, the personal assistant is admitted free of charge. The personal assistant must sit with the disabled customer and must be aged 18 years and over and fully capable of meeting your needs.
The personal assistant must enter the stadium at the same time as the disabled customer.

WHEELCHAIR USERS
For concerts the Stadium of Light has 60 spaces for wheelchair users. These are on three purpose-built platforms on the West Stand
These can be accessed via accessible entrance 62A.
AMBULANT CONCERT GOERS
For concerts the Stadium of Light has an ambulant section in block L25.
These can be accessed via the accessible entrance.
ASSISTANCE DOGS
We are delighted to assist and accommodate those guests with assistance dogs. We can, however, only accommodate concert goers with assistance dogs in our lower tier.
Any supporter wishing to bring an assistance dog to a concert must contact the concert team (takethat@safc.com) in advance of the game, to ensure that appropriate tickets are allocated and suitable arrangements can be made.
ACCESSIBLE TOILETS
Accessible toilets are available in all areas of the stadium; these are fitted with radar locks and keys are available from nearby stewards.
ACCESSIBLE CAR PARKING
On a concert day there is no car parking facilities, however we do provide all wheelchair users who have booked via SAFC a designated parking bay.
TEMPORARY MOBILITY RESTRICTIONS
If circumstances have changed since purchasing a ticket and a wheelchair space is now required please contact takethat@safc.com. If all wheelchair spaces are sold out, we will unfortunately not be able to accommodate this request
Concert goers with temporary mobility restrictions (e.g. broken leg) that may affect access to the stadium of seating areas should contact Takethat@safc.com prior to the show to arrange alternative seating. If all seats are sold out, we will not be able to accommodate
Please note crutches and walking sticks are permitted inside the Stadium but there is no storage facility for walking aids
MEDICINE
All medicine must be kept on your person at all times.
First aid areas
On Event day there are first aid areas in each of the stands and there will be visible first aid provision on the pitch.
*ELIGIBILITY FOR CONCESSION
Every individual experiences their disability differently and Sunderland AFC recognises this, so we review each request individually. Under the terms of the Equality Act 2010, the club will verify eligibility to obtain such a concession.
Concertgoers purchasing tickets in the accessible areas at the Stadium of Light will be requested to provide any of the following documentation, issued within the last 12 months, prior to purchasing tickets:
- Confirmation of Enhanced rate of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- Confirmation of Enhanced rate of Daily Living Allowance (DLA)
- Confirmation of Higher rate Attendance Allowance

Please note, receipt of a Blue/Orange Badge or incapacity benefit is not considered to be sufficient to enable you to purchase tickets, unless supported by one of the eligibility criteria stated above.
**PERSONAL ASSISTANT TICKETS
A personal assistant cannot be admitted without being in the presence of the disabled supporter they are assisting.
